Kinetics GX plus membrane

I recently purchased a home with a Kinetico GX plus system. The Membrane (center) sub filter need replacement. I’ve been told by kinetco and a local dealer it is no longer available and just to buy a new system...$2100!  Why would I buy the same system when they don’t support what they already made....anyone know of any source that stock piled and still sells the discontinued filter?
