Hello. I've had my GE Model Number GSS23WSTASS fridge for nine years and, as per the process, I replace the water filter every six months. When I removed the filter today to do the normal replacement, water was spilling from the filter spot until I inserted the new filter. In all the years of replacing filters, I never had to turn off the water. I also saw no evidence of water leaking before or after I replaced the filter today. Is this cause for concern? I did have a whole-house plumbing incident a few months ago that required the installation of a new pipe part and the water to be turned on and off, but I'm not sure that the issues are connected. Please advise. Thank you.
