Can I remove the intake and outlet quick connect fittings to enable me to install my 1/2 inch regular thread fittings??? I need 1/2 inch female openings. It looks like the present fittings are "melted in to filter ends!!...Please send message if possible before I return the unit for a replacement...I don't want to mess up the filter if it can't be done...fsl

Hi Laudano,

It sounds like you ordered the wrong thing. The K2533 that we sell has 1/4" Quick Connect Fits. This is not going to work with your regular threaded fittings. You will need a filter that has Female Port Threads or Male Threads, whichever your set-up may require. This may be noted on our site or others as "FPT (Female Port Thread)", or "NPT (National Port Thread)".
