WSG-1 water filter

Received WSG-1 filter for GE Profile Refrigerator, same as one in it and the top is different. Manufacturer sent us another one and same problem. Did they change the filter for this 2008 refrigerator?

Sounds like they may have changed the design of the filter, but it should still be compatible with your refrigerator. Have you tried to install the filter?

Yes, the manufacturer said the design did change but should still work. We have tried both of them and they do not work so we put the old one back on, which has the same number.

It's been 2 wks and I have had 2 WSG-1 filters that do not go on my refrigerator. I had a repairman here for a different reason and he tried the filter WSG-1 and said it no way fits this refrigerator. Has anyone else had this problem. Our old WSG-1 had an o-ring at the top, this one has no o-ring and is different design on top. My husband says it does not seal.
