  • RO system on fridge only

    Hello!

Looking to put the plug on my inline filter on my GE fridge, and wanting to put an RO system in the counter above it.

I was looking at the APEC water system. Seems to have good output PSI. I am just wondering will this work for my fridge with ice maker and water spout that is in the door? Some say no, some say yes, I have certainly seen the systems hooked in sinks with a line to the fridge, but this is not the route I want to go.

I only want the system on the fridge.

Thank you in advanced for replies.

If you set the air in the tank to about 15psi before you start you should be fine. It all hinges on what valve they use in the fridge. Some don't mind low pressure (when the tank is emptied and filling) as much as others. Some don't close right without a certain pressure coming into them. That's when the issues arise the most. That, and timed fills on ice trays. But, with that kind of pressure on a full tank, you're golden.
