It appears as though I have to replace my in-door water filter as the light has gone to red. What part do I need to do this? How do I swap it out? I didn't want to start pulling on parts that weren't meant to move. Is there an ice maker filter or is it the same part for water?

GE MWF or Brita GERF-100

Hello,
Your refrigerator model requires a GE MWF or Brita GERF-100 water filter. The filter is located in the top right back corner of the refrigerator compartment. It is easy to change the filter. Twist out the old filter and then twist in the new filter. The MWF can be found at
