  • Kinetico waste water to filter water ratio

Does anyone know what is the waste water to filter water ratio for the Kinetico K5?

Any creative ideas how we can divert the waste water to use for other things?

As far as I know, the K5 has the smallest ratio of concentrate water (waste) to permeate (service) water. Approximate 2.1:1 at 60 psi line pressure. This is in part due to the builtin membrane pump and water-on-water tank, which elements backpressure to the membrane. Produces approximately 40 gpd at 60 psi...almost 2 gallones per hour as opposes to 10-14 gpd, or one gallon every two hours in bladder-style ROs.

Waste water can be divirted to a holding tank, which can be used for other purposes such plants, pets, etc. I would recommend at least a five-gallon tank and check often.
