Kinetico K5 Tank Connectors

Hi all,

I have a one year old K5 system installed by Kinetico. I noticed when changing the filters that the coloured pipe connectors at both the tank and rear of the machine seem to protruding a lot, but won't push back in again.

Should they be 'flush' or is the protrusion ok? What should they look like??

No, those are perfectly correct. The colored rings are pushed out showing they are under pressure and thus sealing water and air from passing. To separate the hoses, shut off water pressure, push and hold the rings down against the tank and the tubes can be pulled out. Try to keep the hoses coming straight out and not kinked.
