  • Arsenic contaminated well

    Hello,

So I am in the middle of buying some property in Paulden, Arizona. There is a well shaft there, but when a water sample was taken years ago, the property seller tells me it was contaminated with arsenic. She does not know how "much" arsenic. But in that area, a well was found that had 3-5,000 PPM of it.

Government says 3-5PPM is "Safe" although you won't find most water supplies that low in it.

I have read that reverse osmosis filtration will remove arsenic. I do not have the ability right now to test the well

Let's say I have a high concentration of it.

If I run 3, 4, 5 small reverse osmosis filtration systems, one after the other, will this help remove more arsenic than just one system? I can have pressure pumps boost the pressure between the systems.

Which version of arsenic? An RO will remove one type but not the other. Knowing which variety you have (or both) will help determine how to proceed.
