  • ZRO-4 Reverse Osmosis System

I'm going to install this system, but I'd like to understand why should it be connected to a hot water line? Another question is, why it should not be installed closer then 25 feet from water heater? The system produces cold water only, so why do I need hot water there?

Hot water connection? Where did you get the notion to connect it to the hot water line?

Now then, warmer water will produce water faster but not recommended for uncontrolled/unregulated feed. Too hot and filters and materials will be damaged. Your particular model may have considered that but I still would like to hear how this notin came about.

There is a requrement to connect hot water to the system. Why?

This is where the 'zero waste' comes in. The concentrate water is forced back into the hot water side in the attempt to quell those who refuse RO due to the concentrate going down the drain. It is a very small amount but it is innovating and I guess it works.

          Thanks, Andy
I installed the system, and it does work nicely.
