I have a whole house filter with a cartridge to remove sediment and rust. A carbon filter to remove chlorine doesn't seem to work for more than 2 weeks before water pressure drops drastically. If I have a sediment filter in my whole house unit and install an undersink unit with a filter to remove chlorine (flow rate 2gpm) would this supply adequate pressure to the regular kitchen faucet. The flow rate of the faucet is slightly higher than 2gpm. Also, would it work longer seeing that the sediment has already been removed. Thanks.

If so, the answer to your question is yes. A whole house sediment filter will extend the life of other filters in your home by removing some contaminants before they get to the other filters, thus making them not have to "work" as hard. Below are some links to some systems that could work well for you. I don't know if you're looking for a system that requires a separate faucet or not so I've made some suggestions for both:

(If you have a separate faucet your flow doesn't have to be as high because you will only be using it for drinking, cooking water, ect. )
