I just installed the two "Pentair Water - Pentek P-250A for Pentek US-1000" filters in my GE under sink unit.
This unit originally took FXSLC, which was superseded by FXSVC.
The water flow is extremely fast - much faster than it has ever been before, even with new filters.
I think the water is bypassing the filters.
I have had this unit for years and replaced the filters many times. I have taken the filters in and out several times to make sure they are in correctly and the gaskets are in place.
Carbon filter first. - This has a hollow tube with gaskets at either end.
Other filter second - closest to output - with gasket at the top.
They appear to be the same height as the old filters. I can't tell if the filters are just letting that much water through because of their design or if they are not quite the right height and the gaskets are not sealing.
Any ideas on how to figure out what is going on here?
