Want to try a 10 micron from 20 micron, any problem?

I use the Liquatec SDF-45-1020 for my whole house filter system. I still get a little redness and dirt in the toilet bowl. Can I use the 10 micron version of this filter to see if it would clear it up? I don't want to overload the filter and reduce water pressure. We are on a well and do regular filter replacement every 6 months. Very dirty water.
