  • What to do??

Hello, I am new here. I am looking for a recommendation.
I live with my wife and we will be having one child. We have city water.
I am looking to remove Chlorine, etc....
I need high flow as two showers are often run at same time, my water pressure is 65 psi, not sure how that computes to GPM.
    Class 1 filter preferred.
    HELP

      More detail please

I took a look at the Aquasana EQ-300 Whole House Filtration System (EQ-300). I cannot locate any specs that tell me the % of chlorine the system removes. Can you help me with this?
Also, how many GPM do I need for a family of three in a five year old home that as 65psi city water?

        Wizard,

The EQ-300 is UL (Underwriters Laboratory) tested to 300,000 gallons under NSF standard 42 to remove >99.9% of the chlorine.

The System will give you around 8 GPM which is plenty for a family of three's household water.

Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!

          Psi

If I have 65 PSI going in, what will the pressure be coming out?

            psi

With the EQ-300, the pressure drop at 65 PSI is 7 Lbs so 58 PSI

              looks good so far

How many gallons is the 7psi reduction tested for?
What does the psi reduction curve look like?

Thanks for all your help so far.

                EQ-300 con't ...

                Hi Wizard,

I forwarded your question to the manufacturer of this product and this is the response I received :

I have not seen the “curve” but the reduction was measured after 300,000 gallons.
