Whole House Filter - What do I have?

New house. Can someone please tell me what I have here? Not comfortable with it and I'm wanting to sell it but don't quit know what to say about it. From my research online it appears to be a media filter with automatic backwash and a water conditioner with brine tank? Shouldn't the brine tank have a lid? Any help would be appreciated.
