Changing media in pond sand and carbon filters

I need to change the media in my sand and carbon filters from my pond drinking water system. I have the media. What I don't remember is how much pea stone goes in the bottom of each tank before I put the sand or carbon in. Can anyone help? Thanks

Everything is relative. Without knowing anything of your equipment, it would be difficult to hazard a guess of what it needs to be maintained. Do you have specifications on the current system? Any pictures? Make, model, size, age, flow rate, etc.? Is there a backwashing valve? What other equipment is paired up with it?
