  • Best filter for minerals, lead, mercury, aluminum, nitrates etc. Carbon best?

Im installing a 1100gal above ground tank for my well water. Will be using a sediment spin trap filter prior to tank. I have ordered an Omnifilter whole house heavy duty carbon block filter after the tank and pump. Any help on whether this will be adequate for removing toxins greatly appreciated. Well water tested has traces of all the above and pesticides at 240ft. Want to make it drinking safe without losing pressure. Thanks!

More accurate test results are required. What is your end use of the water? Drinking? Utility? You will likely need more than a simple filter cartridge.

Yes we have drank the water for the past 10 yrs however it is. Very hard and not a great taste so we primarily use ottled water. Never had sand in it until recently prompting a store bought water test kit. Minimal traces of unwanted things showing. So I figured a good carbon filter might be all that's needed to improve taste and safety. Guess I will need to install what I purchased and retest

I'm thinking a reverse osmosis system is in your future.
