need to replace whole house filter every couple weeks

For the last ten years we replaced the water filter about every six months. For the last couple months we've had to replace it every two weeks because we start to get low water pressure for a few days until there is none at all. The filters don't look all gunked up when we take them out but as soon as they're replaced the water pressure comes back. Anyone know what could be happening?

We're using the whirlpool WHKF-WHWC filters and we have well water.
