overpumped well = muddy silt in house water

Left a hose running for 45 plus minutes and the house water turned muddy grey/black. wound filter has mud on it. changed it twice and still having grey silty water. Most posts say run well until it clears, but this problems started by running the well a long time. Not clearing up, any help is appreciated.
