  • will a water softener remove 2ppm of iron?

I am currently looking at a water treatment system for my new home, hardness 21 iron 2ppm can i use a water softener? had ecowater quote for $2700, having kinetico come on thurs. do i need to spend that kind of cash to get something that will last 20+ years?!.....help please thanks

Kinetico (twin tank) is a fine piece of equipment and will do the trick. Other systems that use Fleck or Clack valves are also good. With single tank systems, the number of people is a very important factor in determining your equipment size and settings.

Let us know what Kinetico says.

Your water conditions are very managable, but iron can be challenging if your system is not properly sized.
