  • Faucet corrosion

I have well water with softener. The connection (bronze) on 2 faucets have corroded through and started leaking. Also if i have not used faucets for long time the water comes out with a slight black color. I also had a bronze fitting corrode through and started leaking. The faucets are 10 years old the fiiting is 2 years old. The water was tested ok.

          Ph normal...........

          7.1 or 7.8?

          or is it another number.

Having different metals can and often does make problems, much like what you are talking about.

Then there is Elect... if any kind of power line even a phone line is on the copper that can give a blue green or take out a fitting.

How hot is the hot water?
Was there a change in that temp setting?
